Garden office owners could consider planting climbers over their outdoor building after an article in the Telegraph provides advice on achieving the effect.

According to the news provider, an attractive climber, from wisteria to an espalier, can make a building look "planted", while bare properties are more like Monopoly houses with a temporary feeling about them.

To construct a climber, gardeners were advised to use chicken wire or mesh as a basic form of a trellis, or bolts and wire can also provide a "neat design that is unobtrusive and highly practical".

"The wires can go at any centres you like, vertical or horizontally or a combination. You can create any shape you like - a fan of wires for instance and you can extend it if needed," the newspaper states.

When it comes to tying plants, gardeners can use tarred string or plastic tubing that is kind to plants and easy to fix. Meanwhile, self-clingers such as ivy "can form a neat, flat, green wall if you cut the shoots back to close to the surface every other year and contain it".
