Canadian trails feature log cabins
» 21st January 2010 «
Brits heading to Canada's British Columbia (BC) have been told that the area is good for more than just mountain skiing and snowboarding.
BC has more than 1,000 km of cross-country ski trails spanning all sorts of terrain and allowing visitors to stay in some interesting locations.
One such trail is the McGillvray Lake path, which is located close to Sun Peaks Resort in Kamloops.
The trail ends at a warm log cabin at McGillvray lake, where skiers can warm up after a day of working their way through the forest and enjoying the views at the top of the climbs along the way.
BC Nordic has released a list of trails, many of which have log cabin accommodation on them or nearby and criss-cross through ski resorts and provincial parks.
The province of BC is located on the western coast of Canada and borders Alaska, Yukon, Alberta, Washington and Montana.
