Hyde Park Winter Wonderland to feature log cabins
» 23rd November 2009 «
While many may know that log cabins can be great summer houses in the warmer months, they also have their uses in winter.
This can be seen by visiting Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland, which spans across 20 acres of the London green space and features a number of log cabins, as well as Zippos Christmas Circus and the Palace of Grand Illusion - both inside a heated big top.
While entry is free, visitors should be sure to bring cash to take advantage of the attractions and sample the tasty treats being offered by the array of log cabin-style stalls.
An ice-skating rink has also been set up, while the German Christmas market has more than 50 stalls packed full of potential gifts.
Those who are hungry can enjoy refreshments inside a traditional log cabin in the Bavarian village, while kids can visit Santa Claus and enjoy a plethora of fun rides.
Hyde Park is located in central London and can be accessed from a number of tube stops, including Marble Arch, Lancaster Gate, Notting Hill Gate, High Street Kensington, Knightsbridge and Hyde Park Corner.
