Log cabin on the market for £10,000
» 16th March 2011 «
A log cabin in Chorley that was used as a hairdressing salon for years is on the market for £10,000.
Despite not being in great condition, the structure is in a prime location and has attracted a number of prospective buyers, reports the Chorley Guardian.
It had been used in a similar way to a garden office for decades by an elderly woman, who has now closed her business.
Estate agent Peter Gilkes said he was unsurprised the building had received so much attention, because it is "unusual" and "economically priced".
There are already two sinks and a gas heater installed in the property.
In January this year, GreenBuildingPress.co.uk reported that the Wild Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2011 will feature a garden office built from a former shipping container.
It revealed that natural stone will be used, as well as urban waste materials and a variety of other items.
