Log cabins the best choice for Arizona holidays
» 1st February 2010 «
Britons planning to travel to Arizona should check out some impressive log cabin accommodation during their stay, it was suggested yesterday (January 31st).
Writing for the Daily Mirror, Sue Jolly highlights that the "vast swathes of country" in the state are far more attractive than the big-city sprawl of Pheonix.
For travellers who head to the Sonoran desert, she recommends checking in at the Sunglow Ranch, which is located in the foothills of the Chiricahua Mountains.
The accommodation is said to offer "luxury, surrounded by miles of hiking trails, with well-appointed cabins and excellent organic food".
Meanwhile, Ms Jolly also champions the Roper Lake State Park, an area of "outstanding natural beauty" which incorporates a variety of avian life, natural hot springs and lakes.
Again, the preferred choice for accommodation is touted to be a "simple log cabin", which can be booked up for as little as $50 per night.
Arizona covers 113,998 square miles and is currently ranked as the sixth-largest state in the US in terms of area.
