Manley happy to sort out log cabin viewing
» 29th December 2009 «
Darts star Peter Manley has insisted that he would be happy to arrange for some tours to be done around the log cabin he uses to practise ahead of his big games.
Manley is writing a blog for the News & Star throughout the 2010 Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship, an event he exited last night (December 28th) when throwing away victory against Mark Webster.
The Welshman recovered from falling two sets down to win 4-2 and it is he and not Manley who progresses forward to take on Kirk Sheppard in the last 16.
Manley, who is nicknamed One Dart, can now return to his log cabin to put in the work ahead of other events next year, although the Carlisle-based 47-year-old may be joined in the location by some interested observers.
In a recent blog he wrote: "It's a great offer from on behalf of reader sheds to want to have a look at what they describe as my 'upmarket shed'.
"However as I said it's a log cabin - much more exclusive. Maybe if they want to set up a log cabin offshot then we could sort something out."
Manley's one big victory since playing under the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) came when triumphing in the Las Vegas Desert Classic in 2003.
