» 7th April 2010 «
Garden enthusiasts may be interested to hear that Channel 4 plans to launch a new horticultural programme on April 22nd.
The Landscape Man - based on Matthew Wilson's book of the same name - follows six amateur garden teams as they take part in various garden makeover projects, Horticulture Week revealed.
Mr Wilson told the newspaper that he is feeling slightly nervous, but positive ahead of the launch of the show, which has been delayed from autumn last year.
The expert was head of creative development at the Royal Horticultural Society until late 2009, when he became landscape director of the Landscape Agency.
As well as writing the accompanying book, Mr Wilson also presents the TV show and explained that he is interested to see what the public makes of it.
"Until now we have made something we are all terribly proud of, but no one else has judged it yet," he told the news provider.
In other news, Syngenta FloriPro Services is set to unveil its 2011 ranges at its summer trials in Worcestershire between June 29th and July 31st, Horticulture Week has revealed.
