Stay in Finnish log cabins this winter
» 9th December 2009 «
Brits planning to spend a romantic holiday in a log cabin should look no further than Finland, it has been claimed.
According to worldtravelguide.net, the country has a large number of wooden homes in which to enjoy a snowy break.
It recently looked at the log cabin breaks on offer from Discover the World, painting a picture of dazzling white snow covering everything, including the trees, which it bends into unique shapes.
The firm offers the holiday homes at a variety of locations, including Kakslauttanen, which also boasts a honeymoon turf cabin, ice rooms and glass igloos.
Iso-Syote is described as "quaint and stunningly beautiful", with wooded cottages and a ski hotel, as well as the opportunity for night skiing.
Meanwhile, the log cabins at Jerisjarvi are located both at the side of the lake or in the forest, with the trees as neighbours.
Meanwhile, the Herts and Essex Observer has revealed that a horse riding instructor has had her log cabin stolen from the stables.
