Drama at log cabin site

» 22nd January 2010 «

A log cabin was at the centre of a drama this morning (January 22nd) after police were called to the scene.

Officers arrived at the log cabin in Willow Groove Park in Preesall at around 09:00 GMT, the Blackpool Gazette reported.

According to the newspaper, a pensioner was injured in what has been described as a "serious incident".

The 66-year-old was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital where she is receiving treatment for her injuries.

The entire caravan park has been cordoned off as a forensics team conducts its enquiries, with the log cabin understood to be at the centre of the investigation.

According to caravansitefinder.co.uk, the caravan park is situated on 27 acres of rural land with 154 static caravans, 56 residential park homes and 74 log cabins.

It features a five-acre fishing lake and an island bird sanctuary, as well as tarmaced roads and ample parking facilities.ADNFCR-2848-ID-19573190-ADNFCR
