Merriweather to build log cabin
» 16th December 2009 «
Singer Daniel Merriweather has revealed that he intends to build a log cabin in 2010.
The Australian star was asked about his New Year's resolutions and suggested that building a log home might be high on his agenda, the Daily Mirror reported.
"I want to go on tour and build a log cabin and grow a beard. My dad taught me how to chop wood when I was a kid with an axe," he revealed.
"I feel very manly when I'm around wood."
He admitted it sounds like a strange aspiration, but that he hoped to realise it, along with his ambition of writing a follow-up to his album Love And War, which was released earlier this year.
Merriweather recently performed at charity fundraiser Capital Rocks! in the UK capital of London.
The black-tie event, which also featured the Saturdays, reportedly raised more than £260,000 for Help A London Child.
