While some people use their garden log cabin as a summer house, others have more creative uses for the wooden structures.

A Nottingham man has converted his log cabin into a haven for his favourite pastime - pinball.

Paul Reddington competes in the Midlands division of the UK Pinball League and keeps seven games machines in his garden log cabin, the Evening Post revealed.

The 46-year-old told the newspaper that he spends around three to four hours per week playing the game in his log cabin.

"There are some chaps in the league who get quite obsessed - there's one single guy with four in his living room. That's a bit much," he said.

Mr Reddington revealed how his passion was developed as a child, playing pinball in cafes and the corridor of the local pub while his parents enjoyed a drink.

One interesting fact he divulged to the paper was that the machine Nip-It, which features in the 1950s set Happy Days, was not created until the 1970s.

Meanwhile, the Cornishman has reported that Trevarno is set to host Santa Claus, his log cabin and his reindeer.
