Gallagher seeks permission for summer house in garden
» 1st March 2010 «
Noel Gallagher is looking to give his family an extra place to enjoy some time in the summer by applying for planning permission for a new "refuge in the garden" in the grounds of his home.
The former Oasis musician has sent a planning application to Chiltern District Council in regards to a new summer house, which will be a wooden building with a thatched roof.
Made to be occasionally used by his family, the octagonal building, which will be six metres wide and just over four metres tall at its peak, will blend in with the trees and shrubs at Gallagher's home in Chalfont St Giles in Buckinghamshire.
According to the Press Association, the design and access statement submitted as part of the application said: "The summer house is solely for the use of the family for the enjoyment of their gardens."
Gallagher is currently married to Sara MacDonald and she gave birth to their first child together named Donovan Rory Macdonald Gallagher in 2007.
He also has a daughter named Anais from his previous marriage to Meg Mathews.
