Furnishing a thatched gazebo most exciting part
» 25th August 2010 «
Furnishing a thatched gazebo is one of the most exciting parts of planning an outdoor space, one newspaper has claimed.
The Express & Star stated: "Seating and tables are of course a very important consideration and help to create the ideal ambience.
"Further garden gazebo accessories are also essential to ensure that the living area is furnished to the highest design specifications."
It said that by adding blinds and cushions and colour co-ordinated accessories, homeowners can help to create a "special ambience ideal for outdoor rooms".
However, it was suggested that people with thatched gazebos should think about the function of the space when decorating it, for example whether it will be a seating area or a dining area, and style it accordingly.
The newspaper noted that it is worth checking if furniture is waterproof so that it can be left outside all year round.
When it comes to cushions and curtains, gazebo owners might want to take the advice of Daily Telegraph writer Katrina Burroughs, who noted that fabric manufacturers are focusing on "new palettes" which offer "brazen colour".
