Gardening events this summer
» 26th April 2010 «
Garden enthusiasts have a number of chances to head to Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) events this year.
The shows should provide inspiration and an opportunity to tap into the knowledge of the various experts in attendance.
While it is too late for the Cardiff Show, which took place earlier this month, things really kick off in May with the Chelsea Flower Show, which runs from the 25th to 29th of the month.
The world-renowned celebration of botany is preceded by the Malvern Spring Gardening Show from May 6th to 9th and followed by the BBC Gardeners' World Live event, which takes place from June 16th to 20th.
Other notable shows this summer include Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and the RHS Show Tatton Park, both of which take place in July.
Wrapping things up is the Malvern Autumn Show, which runs on September 25th and 26th and celebrates the harvest season with flowers, food, livestock, shopping and family events.
Meanwhile, the RHS recently suggested that gardeners should increase watering during spring as the earth will be dry after winter.
