Vandals attack gazebo

Vandals have targeted a gazebo at a park in Abbots Langley, causing "significant damage", it has been revealed.

According to the Watford Observer, the attack occurred on Friday (December 11th) evening and saw several thousand pounds worth of breakages at Leavesden Country Park.

Police are blaming the attack on drunken youths after beer cans were found in the vicinity.

"There has been significant damage to the gazebo, fencing and tree saplings," sergeant Neil Canning explained.

"We normally patrol the north side of the park and have managed to keep anti-social behaviour in Abbots Langley down over the past few months - so this latest development is hugely disappointing."

He added that the police would be grateful for any information received about the incident and revealed that door-to-door enquiries are being carried out.

Meanwhile, the Sussex Express has revealed that a gazebo was used during recent work carried out in Seaford for national tree week.
