Where to head for garden inspiration
» 27th April 2010 «
Those seeking inspiration for their garden should head to The Eden Project, it has been claimed.
According to temperate curator Rob Brett, April, May and June are great months for UK gardens as it is when they look their best.
"So come and see our Plane Tree Steps, Blue and White Borders and the Silver Staircase with its ornate Allium cristophii, Star of Persia," he said.
Visitors are also invited to chat to the site's horticultural experts over a cup of tea at 14:30 BST on weekdays and 11:30 and 14:00 on weekends.
They will be happy to answer questions both on the attraction and on any queries growers may have about their own gardens.
Furthermore, attendees will be able to get their green fingers dirty by joining in The Grow Zone workshops, which take place at 11:00 and 15:00 each day.
Brits seeking inspiration have a wide choice of famous horticulture attractions, including the Royal Horticultural Society's Garden Wisley, which recently won a major award from Enjoy England.
