Why not customise your garden gazebo?

Thatched gazebo owners might want to personalise their garden by sprucing up their outdoor buildings, it has been suggested.
In a blog for the Oregonian, Dulcy Mahar said those with a garden gazebo can make theirs into a unique feature in their backyard.
Individuals who are bored of the colour of their shelter might benefit from getting out the paintbrush and applying a new shade to the structure, she explained.
"As they say in business, think outside the box. Borders don't have to run along the fence … you don't even have to have a lawn. Be open to innovation," she advised.
Ms Mahar added that those sprucing up their backyard should try to look at their outside area objectively and without bias when planning what changes to make.
Horticulturalists who want to sit outside in the summer might consider installing a thatched gazebo so they can entertain visitors.
According to research by price comparison site Idealo.co.uk, the installation of outdoor buildings was one of the most popular home improvement projects undertaken by Britons in 2010, reports BuildIt.
