More Log Cabins Articles A gardening expert has advised homeowners to get outdoor buildings like log cabins and garden sheds organised before the "busy season" starts.
Kris Collins, gardening editor for Amateur Gardening magazine, suggested that now is a good time to get "niggling jobs" done before the onset of spring.
"If you have spent a lot of time in the shed this winter, I would get out there now and give that a good clean up because it is surprising how cluttered it can get as soon as you start buying all your compost, seeds and other sundries," he said.
Mr Collins added that prior to planting in March, people should treat their soil with an organic fertiliser like Growmore.
He noted that fertilisers require a period of time to break down in the soil and start working, meaning that if people do it now, the nutrients will be quickly available to new plants by spring.
