More Log Cabins Articles Life-like greenery and LED lights are key trends for decorating outside areas of homes this Christmas, according to one expert.
Brandon Stephens, vice president of marketing for Christmas Decor, noted that there has been an increased customer demand for holiday designs featuring garlands and wreaths embellished with berries and pinecones, as well as plenty of lighting.
Indeed, while homeowners are keen to make their log cabin the most festive one on the street, they can also keep their energy consumption down by using LED lights, which Mr Stephens said are 90 per cent more energy efficient than traditional incandescent light bulbs.
"Green products have become a way of life for many people and now there are many options available in holiday decorating," he said.
Other ways to display fairy lights can include putting them in glass bowls, suggested Janet Eavenson, owner of Leonard Provence Interiors, as well as using candlesticks of different sizes as a centrepiece.
Homeowners can use these tips to make their log cabin a cosy place to relax during the cold winter months.
