More Log Cabins Articles Organisers of a major ice rink attraction in York have won praise for its new, "village square-style" setting.
The Ice Factor rink, which opened earlier this month at the designer outlet on the city's outskirts, had previously been located at a smaller site at the Eye of York, yorkpress.co.uk reported.
According to the news website, skaters have been impressed by the new area which incorporates log cabins, an illuminated forest with reindeer and a giant decorated tree in the middle of the ice.
The rink itself is also 50 per cent larger than its predecessor.
Ice Factor spokeswoman Maria Farrugia commented that the attraction had been inundated with inquires and had already booked 50 school parties to go on the ice.
The attraction is open from 9.30am until 9.15pm daily, except Christmas Day, until January 9th, with tickets for a one-hour session costing £9.50.
