More Log Houses Articles With Christmas fast approaching, a US tourism organisation has revealed that it is accepting bookings for log cabin breaks.
The McCurtain County Tourism Authority in Oklahoma explained that the log cabins at its Beavers Bend State Park site are welcoming visitors and tourists.
The comments follow the news that log cabin management companies in the area would have to comply with the state's real estate code, rather than the Oklahoma Tax Commission and State Health Department rules that have applied for more than ten years.
"All cabins in the area are available and welcoming visitors," explained executive director Charity O'Donnell.
She added that visitors need not worry about the legislative process as the site is "open for business" while things get sorted out.
However, log cabin owners' attorney Marc Edwards explained that the general feeling among those with log cabins is that they do not see why their management companies should be bound by the new rules when hotel management firms are not.
Oklahoma is located in the centre of the US, with Texas to the south, Kansas to the north, Arkansas to the east and New Mexico to the west.
