More Log Cabins Articles A tennis club in Hertfordshire has unveiled a new log cabin clubhouse as part of a major upgrade to its facilities.
Royston Tennis Club opened its new premises at Therfield Heath, which include six floodlit courts and the clubhouse, during a special ceremony attended by club members and local dignitaries, royston-crow.co.uk reported.
The £300,000 project included £193,000 from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) - funds which were used to pay for the floodlights.
According to the news website, the club had been forced to rent the courts at a local school while the work was undertaken.
Club secretary Christine Knight said: "I am so proud of our club's achievement and growth over the last seven years.
"The new courts at Therfield Heath will be a fantastic community asset for Royston and the surrounding areas."
Among those to attend the unveiling of the log cabin and courts were North Herts East MP Oliver Heald, Royston town Mayor Cllr Martin Beaver and several other councilors.
