The Royal Log House boasts double skinned walls and ceilings. Based on the Fay, it is constructed from 44mm logs. The walls are built leaving a 50mm gap between the two sections for additional insulation and likewise, the ceiling has a 50mm void between the two 19mm tongue and groove top and inner skins.

All our double skinned cabins come with a double skinned roof as standard.
The external boards are attached to the top surface of the roof joist and the internal boards fixed to battens again attached to the roof joists- see the diagram below.
