Choosing a log thickness will depend very much on your expectations and eventual use of your log cabin. We consider the 28mm log to be our budget range. This cheapest option buys you limited insulation and basic structural strength. Likely uses include garden storage and limited use workshop.

Next up is the 34mm log. Better insulation and structural strength - this log type lends itself to summer houses and garden buildings being used during the warmer months of the year.

Our range of cabins in 44mm logs are ideal for garden offices. Insulate the floor and roof, put in some basic heating and in most winters this will be sufficient to keep you and your business snug.

The 68mm logs should be used if budget allows. Greater insulation (noise and heat) are afforded plus superior strength in the structure.
