More Summer Houses Articles The snow and icy weather have disappeared at last and UK garden enthusiasts may be looking forward to a long-awaited summer in their green space.
To help them along, house builder Taylor Wimpey has enlisted the help of Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) expert Alex Denman to offer tips on growing food, which is becoming an increasingly popular pastime.
According to Rated People, Ms Denman suggested that those who wish to cultivate fruit and vegetables for the first time this year should start small.
Using a growbag can be a great place to begin and will allow those new to the practice to grow potatoes, carrots or runner beans without monopolising space.
Even those with an established vegetable patch can benefit from the experts tips - Ms Denman explained that regular watering is important as failure to do so can lead to plants splitting and becoming disease prone.
In other news, madeformums.com has suggested that garden lovers introduce their kids to the pleasures of horticulture to develop their understanding of the natural world. -
