More Summer Houses Articles Summer house owners should not try to do anything to improve their lawn until the end of March or April.
This is according to Helen Yemm, who said in an article for the Daily Telegraph that it is important to wait for the grassy area of the garden to dry out a bit first.
She explained that being patient will prevent individuals from compacting the soil too much.
Those hoping to make the space between their house and garden summer house green and lush might benefit from spiking the lawn with a fork before top-dressing it with a sandy turf dressing.
Adding grass to this will over-seed the lawn and might make the view from the summer house a little more vibrant in the future.
This comes after Katrina Rossos said in an article for Rumson-FairHavenPatch that it is important to cure a lawn of any diseases before steps are taken to re-seed.
