A new US website could provide useful information for British gardeners as the summer season approaches.

Bayer CropScience has developed the new online resource to showcase its products and educate customers in all aspects of horticulture.

The site contains a range of videos, articles and interactive guides that could be of use to those looking to revamp their green space during 2010.

According to the firm, it plans to continue to update BayerAdvanced.com on a regular basis, providing growers with a constant stream of new information on their hobby.

Head of marketing Chris Bremen said it is a great way for the firm to keep in tune with its customers.

"[It] is a fast and easy way to navigate the products and solutions we offer our customers but also a great resource for information regarding all types of gardening activities," he explained.

In other news, the Morpeth Herald revealed that a Northumberland garden centre is to offer a free surgery with a BBC gardener of the year next week.   - 16 April 2010
