More Thatched Gazebos Articles Traders have been testing out a range of gazebos as part of a market revamp in Chorley, Lancashire.
Stall owners at Chorley's popular Flat Iron market were given the chance to try out different types and makes of gazebo before their preferred options were unveiled to the public for their views, the Chorley Citizen reported.
According to the newspaper, the plan to revamp the historic Tuesday market, which could include the addition of African thatched gazebos and similar structures, is due to go ahead this summer.
Around 40 six-by-three metre gazebos covering the stalls around the outside of the market will be set up under phase one of the project, while another 40 or so gazebos for the inner stalls on the market are scheduled to follow later in the year if this is successful.
"The traders really liked the idea of the new gazebos and chose a particular style," said councillor Peter Malpas.
"This was put on display at the market for shoppers to give their opinion on and it has been given an overwhelming 'thumbs up'."
